Ed Burns purchased John F. Kennedy Jr.’s TriBeCa co-op in 2000. This was the last home of JFK, jr. shared with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy before the tragic plane crash that took both of their lives. John Kennedy bought the property for $700,000 in 1994.

Hollywood Hunk Ed Burns is buying one of the hottest pieces of Manhattan to hit the real-estate market in years: John F. Kennedy Jr.’s TriBeCa co-op, The Post has learned.
Actor-director Burns and his girlfriend, actress Heather Graham, will be moving to the penthouse where John and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy spent their brief married life — if he wins approval of the co-op’s board.
Queens-born Burns has made a deposit on the 2,400-square-foot loft and a sales contract has been drawn up, sources said.
The N. Moore Street property had been the market for months — with a price tag upward of $2.5 million.
But real-estate sources said the 32-year-old Burns, who became an overnight success as writer, director and star of the micro-budget hit “The Brothers McMullen,” may have gotten a bargain in his negotiations with Sotheby’s Realty.
“I don’t think they got the $2.5 million,” one real-estate insider said.
