Robert Deniro’s Home with hubby Grace Hightower was at 88 Central Park West until the June 2012 fire at their Upper West Side apartment. De Niro was out of the country when a fire erupted at his home, burning several floors of the posh building. The fire was reportedly caused by a lint buildup in a clothes dryer and spread to every apartment on the fifth floor.
Following the blaze, the De Niros were forced to move to a rented downtown penthouse on Perry Street. The duplex penthouse — billed as a “contemporary masterpiece” — boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, multiple outdoor terraces that offer 360-degree views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline, plus a private seven-car garage, which can fit 14 cars if valeted.
